THE SIGNAL SPLITTER
The Fat Dog Signal Splitter is
a small box that has high and low impedance inputs on one side, and
three high impedance outputs on the other. Each output is
independently switchable on or off. Please note that the low impedance input uses the same signal transformer as the low impedance inputs found on Fat Dog combo amps, meaning that it does not have great high frequency response. This is good for harp players, but if you want high fidelity you can always use an inline transformer with your low impedance microphone. |
Approximate Dimensions:Length 4" Width 3" Height 1.5" This device has no ground lift or isolation of any kind. It's as simple as a bowling ball: signal in, signal out. If you have hum problems when connecting different amps then that might mean you have a ground loop problem, but that's something you'll have to work out yourself. In most cases you won't have any problems at all, and the Signal Splitter will be a great way to connect a bunch of stuff! Just think of it as a single cable that splits in up to three directions, and it's as simple as that! Suggested uses: Connect three amps to maximize your volume; Run one line to an amp and another to the PA to mix clean and overdriven sounds; Run one line to a clean amp and one to a high-overdrive amp for a more complex tone. |
